A significant milestone was achieved on February 8, 2024, as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Fenaka Corporation Head Office. Zooshan Kamaludeen, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, represented the Maldives Polytechnics, while Deputy Managing Director Hussain Zuhuree stood for Fenaka Corporation.
This MoU marks a pivotal commitment towards enhancing workforce development, with the main objective of ensuring that the technical personnel of Fenaka are well-versed in the water and sanitation laws and regulations, as well as the issuance of licenses for electricity generation and supply. Furthermore, a core component of this partnership is the provision of invaluable industrial experience opportunities to polytechnic graduates, thereby bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.
This collaborative endeavor signifies an intensive effort to enhance the skillsets of the workforce while concurrently aligning with regulatory frameworks essential for the effective operation of Fenaka’s activities. By facilitating comprehensive training initiatives, the aim is to cultivate a set of highly competent professionals poised to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
Looking ahead, this MoU serves as the foundation for similar training programs, emphasizing a steadfast commitment to human capital development and organizational excellence. Through sustained collaboration and shared vision, this partnership is poised to yield enduring benefits for the workforce, the company, and the broader community alike.
