In October 2022, Fenaka started the Home Solar Programs with the collaboration of Ministry of Environment Climate Change and Technology.
Fenaka targets to install Solar PV systems in 1000 households, which will contribute an estimated 4000 kW of power to the grid. These home solar systems are green power plants installed on roofs. The available Solar PV system sizes are 2kWp and 3kWp. Out of these two, most customers prefer 3kWp systems.
So far, Fenaka has installed Solar PV in 240 households, for a total installed capacity of 728.64 kW.
The government’s goal is to minimize the individual's expenditure on electricity services and help to achieve the government's NetZero target of by 2030. Also, this marks a step forward in achieving the goals for renewable energy outlined in the current administration's Strategic Action Plan (SAP).
Until this day, the high initial investment costs and technical difficulties associated with solar installations are significant roadblocks to widespread solar adoption in our society.
By providing a low-cost solution with a manageable payment plan and handling the entire operation from beginning to end, Fenaka hopes to address both difficulties.
Fenaka invests in installing solar PV roof-top systems in customer households under net metering regulations and allows customers to pay back within 12 to 60 installments depending on the installment package chosen by customer. (Flexibility depending on the customers chosen package)
Fenaka puts importance on increasing the share of renewable energy and plans to install 1000 kW of Solar PV in consumer households by the end of 2022.
Using solar power instead of conventional forms of energy reduces the amount of carbon and other pollutants that are emitted into the environment. Reducing the amount of carbon in our atmosphere translates into less pollution and cleaner air and water.
